Clever Internet Suite Version 2.0 Release

The Clever Internet Suite Version 2.0 represents the expansion of the previous version 1.0, also known as Clever Downloader Internet Components.

The second version of this library contains more components including components that allow a user to asynchronously upload local resources to the remote server. Similar to the first version, the second one also contains pairs of components that allow operating on a single resource (TclDownLoader, TclUploader) and on a list of resources (TclMultiDownLoader, TclMultiUploader). Operations on all resources in the list are performed simultaneously and independently. The library contains the updated version of the TclNewsChecker component.

When developing the second version, the engine that maintains operations on internet resources was improved, particularly these improvements affected the error situation processing. Another improvement implemented the ability to work by the secured channel (HTTPS).

The current version presents new functionality of uploading local resources by the HTTP protocol.

Redesigned class hierarchies allow the end-users to expand the library in a convenient way.

All the mentioned improvements resulted in the external interface modification of library classes. When developing the Clever Internet Suite Version 2.0 we tried to minimize these changes to help our user to move from version 1.0 to 2.0. We've created the list of all modifications that affected the external interface of internet-classes. How to migrate from the Clever Internet Suite Version 1.0 to Version 2.0

The Clever Internet Suite consists of 3 libraries: clinetlib, cldownldr and clupldr. The last two libraries contain components for downloading and uploading resources accordingly. These libraries are shipped separately. The clinetlib library is the integral part of these libraries and shipped with each of them.
